The SUSI Rankings are plainly the most reliable when determining the rankings for the best schools in Toronto, in our informed opinion. This city generally has elementary schools that rank about average compared to the rest of the schools in Ontario (comparing EQAO pass-rates), faring especially well in Uptown, Midtown, the East End, and the West End. There are 153 rank-able, public elementary schools in Toronto (plus an additional French-Immersion-only schools). There are 78 of them in the Midtown-Uptown areas, and another 75 of them located in the Lower Toronto areas, which includes the Beaches in the East End and the High Park/Swansea area in the West End. Our recommendations are based on: the Rankings, the neighbourhood, any “news” we might have heard about the school, and also the rankings of the future middle and high schools for the district.
For Midtown-Uptown public elementary schools (regular-track) in 2020, we have twenty-eight Premium, five Alternate, and no Tertiary Recommendations, as well as 40 schools that we are not currently recommending.
For Lower Toronto public elementary schools (regular-track) in 2020, we have fourteen Premium, eleven Alternate, and nine Tertiary Recommendations, as well as 41 schools that we are not currently recommending.
Where can I find the full list of Toronto public school rankings?
Our Full rankings and Recommendations are completely available to all of Susi’s clients for their personal use. Our EQAO calculations, Teacher Support rankings, and Diversity numbers, however, are still available for most Toronto public elementary schools, and a list of these schools can be found above.
